Laila Gozzi

Laila Gozzi is an Italian performing and performance artist. She is following a Master’s Degree in Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship at Erasmus University after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts at Codarts University of the Arts, specializing in modern and contemporary dance. Laila danced in repertoire by Martha Graham, Jiři Kylian, Ton Simons as well as in works made by Juanjo Arques, Kyle Abraham, and others. Later she joined the Belgian and Dutch company WArd-waRD. She performed in the concerts of the tour The Ideal Crash, an album of the rock band dEUS. Moreover, she performed in Oedipus, by the American theatre director Robert Wilson and danced in The Waiting Room, a creation of the choreographer Malcolm Sutherland. Laila’s striking stage presence and sharpness in movement make her a dancer that fits well within the Kalpanarts team.
